Anyone familiar with the patent industry will be well aware of the problems of recruiting in what is widely considered to be a very niche sector.  Only 465 candidates passed their European Qualifying Examinations in 2006, a fall on the previous year, which saw 484 qualify. In our experience, there are simply not enough qualified personnel to fill the positions that regularly become available.

Take for example, one major US multinational corporation, with a base in Europe, which spent the best part of four years attempting to recruit quality patent attorneys for their in-house Intellectual Property Department.  However, after liaising with one of our consultants, this major “blue-chip” organisation enlisted Adamson & Partners’ expertise to achieve what they had previously considered almost impossible.

Our research team conducted an extensive, pan-European search programme and, two months after initiating the Assignment, our client was delighted to have been presented with an impressive shortlist, which included four well qualified candidates.  Upon a positive conclusion of the Assignment, this client has continued to utilise Adamson & Partners’ IP recruitment services.
