Our client is a well-established and highly successful Intellectual Property (IP) private practice with worldwide leadership in European Community Trademarks and a fast expanding Patents department in Belgium, France, Switzerland and is planning to expand outside the European Union. Gevers operates with a team of more than 180 IP professionals, including 63 IP attorneys, from 8 different locations – including Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Hasselt, Paris and Toulouse.
In the area of patents, Gevers offers the full range of services including patent landscaping and opportunity identification, innovation strategy definition, portfolio strategy definition and optimisation, novelty searches, freedom to operate searches, drafting, filing and prosecution, oppositions, annuities, portfolio maintenance, patent and technology watches, patent valuation.
Due to a significant increase in instructions, the firm is now looking for two additional Attorneys, who will be involved in all aspects of patent activities for the firm’s existing client base. Specific requirements for each post are as follows:
Part-Qualified Patent Attorney, Chemistry/Pharmaceutical. This position will be based in Antwerp and requires the ability to draft and prosecute applications in Dutch and English.
For this position, candidates will possess an excellent academic background and be able to demonstrate a record of success in their career to-date, together with a focused and commercial approach and the ability to ultimately develop their own client leads.
