Our client is a scientific partner to fifteen of the top twenty Global pharmaceutical companies. The organisations pool of medical expertise allows them to provide clients with a large number of ‘research specialists’ who in turn can deliver scientific and competitive insight , or ‘medical content development experts’ who can develop educational and promotional content targeted at doctors, patients, regulators and the sales teams of pharmaceutical companies.
Our client is looking to appoint a European Business Development Director to be based anywhere in Europe with access to all the major European markets. Reporting to the Senior Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for marketing our clients capabilities and services to decision makers responsible for clinical research and development as well as for strategic and brand marketing. The role will initially focus on Scientific Competitive Intelligence Research.
Candidates will ideally fulfil the following requirements:
• Experience of clinical research strategy, medical affairs and/or strategic marketing in pharmaceutical companies, consulting companies and/or similar service providers.
• Background in pharmaceutical consulting will be preferred.
• Must have prior experience in Business Development to senior management and key decision makers.
• Must have proven experience in formulating solutions and proposals for problems of a strategic nature.
• Must have a medical or pharmaceutical educational background – MD, PhD, Master’s degree in relevant life sciences.
• An individual with an additional business degree (MBA) will be preferred.
